Welcome to Chateau Calvayrac

Chateau Calvayrac is located at the heart of the Lot Valley in South West France. The Chateau is a special and unique property dating from the 12th Century. It is full of character, decorated to a very high standard, with huge fireplaces, masses of original regional antiques and set in beautiful grounds with unbeatable panoramic views from the terrace over the lot river and surrounding valley. 

Chateau Calvayrac is available to rent and is ideal for large family groups, or special gatherings – having a large pool, set in private gardens surrounded by woodland with plenty of walks and local interest.  Rates for smaller groups and repeat custom are available in off peak season.

The area is most famous for its exceptional gourmet produce and Malbec wine, with very pretty villages and many local festivals and activities there is plenty to do.  Although the Chateau is nestled away high above the valley and it also has the benefit of plenty of very good shops and amenities in the local village just over a mile away. Cahors the nearest major town is a 30 minute drive, it has an excellent market twice a week, lots of lovely shops as well as being historically interesting and an attractive place to visit.

The chateau comfortably offers accommodation for 12 people, with seven characterful bedrooms all with attractive views over the garden or valley.  Each room in the house has a special ambience and style.  We aim to offer you a wonderful French experience in an exceptional setting and hope like many of our guests you will come back year after year.
